Danny and
DeAnna Calhoun have been performing as a two-piano team
for the past 10 years. They have performed concerts
featuring classical, sacred, or combined repertoire for
churches, universities, music organizations and clubs,
and retirement communities throughout Oklahoma.
Danny and
DeAnna both received their bachelor degrees in piano
performance from Oklahoma Baptist University. DeAnna
received a Masters degree in Piano performance from the
University of Oklahoma while Danny received a Masters
degree in Piano Performance from the University of North
Texas and also did additional doctoral studies at the
University of Oklahoma.
They are
both very involved with state and local music
organizations. DeAnna and Danny currently serve as
president and treasurer respectively of the Tulsa
Accredited Music Teachers Association. They maintain a
large private piano studio,
Calhoun Piano Studios in
Owasso, OK where they live with their two children
Andrew and Taylor. They are active members of Friendship
Baptist Church in Owasso. Their debut album “Praise to
the Lord” consists of the couple's own piano
arrangements of hymns, choruses, and inspirational
songs.
